Toe eating

You'd think with Scott on Spring Break this past week I would've had more time to blog....but I slept in. Until 8 am. It was delicious. Thanks honey........

We both needed our rest. Z has made huge leaps and bounds this week and while still not walking, she is really really REALLY close.

This week she decided to try the stairs. Climbing the first two. Then looking at Mommom to see if she was going to be stopped and tried a couple more. Fingers gripping the rug in huge handfuls. About halfway up she stopped and peeked down. She may have frozen for a long minute, looked up, looked at Mommom, dug in and went for it.

She also discovered how the sliding screen door to outdoors works and worked on going out. And in. And out. And in. And on and on and on and on...

Z also discovered if she stands on her very tippy toes and reaches her hand up high she can flip the door handles down. The timing with the door swinging open and letting go of the handle isn't quite as easy.

We went to the zoo on Friday (with the rest of Phoenix apparently). We splurged on a little kettle corn and while A was off with daddy looking at the orangutans a quite plucky little squirrel came up quite close to the stroller. I had forgotten that the kettle corn was in the cupholder and I shooed the squirrel away. A ran up and got into the stroller and the squirrel reappeared. A sucked up her feet and started crying. We made our rapid escape and today she informed daddy that "the squirrel told me the popcorn is yummy. And he wanted to eat my toes".

She also informed daddy that there are super powers in the air and if you jump high enough you can catch them.
